About the Job: We are seeking an experienced Customs and Import Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and laws.
Key Responsibilities- Work with national and international suppliers and agents to arrange freight deliveries and collections between ports, airports, and warehouses.
- Keep clients up to date and deal with problems or delays.
- Manage freight bookings using a CDS computer Declarations system.
- Preparing customs documents for shipment.
- Ensure compliance of various documents with appropriate standards.
- Transfer documents to customs brokers.
- Ensure technical and administrative liaison for the movement of goods.
- Check that tax and customs documents are correct.
- Work with national and international suppliers and agents.
- Handle invoices and payments.
- Arrange for the shipment of goods into and/or out of the country.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation including quotes, invoices, customs clearances, receipts, and other documents.
- Track shipments and ensure the distribution of goods.
- You need to have c 2 years of experience in the above tasks.
- You will have come from a Shipping, import, export, logistics, transportation background.
- Able to work on a variety of tasks until the job is done.
- Good customer service experience. Be polite and patient.
- Problem solver and able to work on your own initiative.
- Car owner/driver is needed due to location.
