Supplier Quality Engineer Job Overview:

An opportunity has arisen within a dynamic team focused on validating the external supply chain to ensure the effective delivery of components for Development programs in anticipation of full-scale Production.

We seek an individual with a solid background in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of suppliers and manage the project Quality Validation Plan.
  • Evaluate and validate the capabilities of the supply chain and suppliers.
  • Conduct Quality Validation activities including Process FMEAs and Production Readiness Assessments.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing and the supply chain.
  • Facilitate aspects of manufacturing capability transfer.
  • Collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced professional in Quality Assurance with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defence sectors is advantageous.
  • Ability to assist suppliers in achieving quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness in production.
  • Familiarity with New Product Introduction or manufacturing capability transfer processes.
  • Proficient in Quality Validation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
