About the Role

Southern Water is seeking a skilled Process Operator to join our Wastewater Treatment Team in the Hampshire area. As a key member of our frontline operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the essential functions of our wastewater treatment works and pumping stations operate smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance testing and maintenance tasks to ensure continuous plant operation.
  • Repair and maintain alarm systems, and monitor and report data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize fault-finding and problem-solving skills to respond to breakdowns and maintain site hygiene in line with regulatory obligations.

Requirements

  • GCSEs grade 3 in Maths, English, and Science.
  • Valid UK Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and participate in a 7-day working week and standby rota.
