We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Lead to join our client's team in Gateshead. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of maintenance activities to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team to achieve predetermined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans
  • Monitor and report on maintenance targets and system KPIs to ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to develop and improve supplier relationships
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement activities to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and best practices
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing maintenance team to meet business objectives
  • Monitor and manage maintenance expenses and improvement programs to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and asset utilization
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in people management and team involvement
  • Proven track record of leading maintenance teams and achieving KPIs
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental best practices and legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet business objectives
