Welcome to C & D Foods, a prominent European manufacturer specializing in Own Label Pet food, with production facilities across multiple countries. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Hygiene Operations Supervisor to join our Hygiene team.
In this essential role, you will contribute significantly to upholding our Food Safety & Quality Management Programme, ensuring adherence to Customer Codes of Practice, Technical Policies, and Standards. Your main objective will be to enhance the Food Safety Management System and guarantee that our operations are consistently prepared for audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assess Cleaning Schedules for compliance
- Ensure accurate completion and organization of Cleaning Records
- Collaborate with External Service Providers to determine suitable chemicals and cleaning techniques
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals utilized
- Address hygiene, food safety, and quality-related challenges
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping and quality protocols
- Implement Environmental Monitoring Programme and communicate findings
- Train and mentor team members to meet required standards
Essential Competencies:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong expertise in Hygiene Standards
- Certification in Food Safety Level 2
- Training in COSHH and Chemical Awareness
- Familiarity with BRCGS Standards and Customer Codes of Practice
- Understanding of HACCP Level 2
- Self-driven with a keen eye for detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach
