Position Overview:
WLD Recruitment is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join a dynamic Precision Engineering firm specializing in Aerospace & Defence and Automotive sectors.
Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in a busy Sub-Contract Machine Shop, focusing on the inspection of CNC Machined components directly from production.
Key Duties Include:
- Conducting dimensional inspections using a variety of handheld tools and CMM Inspection methods in accordance with technical engineering specifications.
- Performing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS - AS9102) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Programming CMM with Aberlink or similar software, ensuring precision in measurements.
- Utilizing handheld measurement tools such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and various Gauges.
- Applying knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) in inspections.
- Interpreting and reading technical drawings accurately.
- Bringing prior experience from a machine shop environment to enhance inspection processes.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate relevant experience and skills in quality inspection within a manufacturing context.
