About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our Fresh Produce team at Lidl GB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain Officers and Consultants, overseeing the ordering and demand planning for Fresh Produce, and contributing to the development of our Fresh Produce Supply Chain Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Supply Chain Officers and Consultants to ensure smooth stock management of Fresh Produce categories
- Oversee the ordering and demand planning for Fresh Produce, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our stores
- Contribute to the development of our Fresh Produce Supply Chain Strategy, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to drive business growth
- Present to senior stakeholders on supply chain performance and progress against key metrics
- Liaise with suppliers and the buying team to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Oversee the handling of day-to-day operations, including fruit and veg orders, and ensure accurate data management
- Run daily and weekly reports to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement
- Analyse data to forecast fruit and veg volumes and inform commercial decisions
- Oversee the planning and implementation of Fresh Produce promotions within commercial KPIs
- Regularly report on promotions and availability KPIs to stakeholders
- Liaise with Regional Distribution Centres on all aspects of Fresh Produce availability
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, with a focus on Fresh Produce
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
- Natural leadership and a talent for multi-tasking, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong numerical skills, with the ability to work with numbers on a daily basis and analyse data to inform commercial decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including suppliers and the buying team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
- Interest in the retail industry, with a focus on Fresh Produce
