Overview: Planet Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance and Production Specialist to enhance our quality control processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards from the initial inspection of incoming goods to the final quality checks before delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials to verify compliance with specifications and drawings, ensuring a seamless supply chain for production.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Quality Assurance database to effectively track and reduce both internal and external non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with the Supplier Quality Engineer and other key stakeholders to address and resolve quality issues impacting production timelines.
  • Provide essential QA data to support the implementation of corrective actions in partnership with the manufacturing engineering team.
  • Ensure a 100% inspection rate for all finished products exiting the production area.
  • Develop and implement a strategic Goods Inwards QA inspection process to uphold quality standards.
  • Review and refine task-specific work instructions in collaboration with Product Development and Production Support teams.
  • Assist the Purchasing Team and Supplier Quality Engineer in evaluating supplier performance metrics to enhance delivery and quality of parts.

Performance Feedback: Regularly communicate quality data to production teams through scheduled meetings, focusing on areas that require improvement.

Reporting: Compile and provide information for quarterly reports detailing QA performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in business, manufacturing, or engineering, or equivalent qualifications such as ONC, A Levels, or BTEC Diploma Level 4.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a similar quality assurance role within a dynamic production environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe software, and SAP.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with a methodical approach to planning and prioritization.
  • Effective data presentation skills and an understanding of financial implications related to quality assurance.
