Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Off-Site MEP and Plantroom Assembly Team in Banbridge. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and integration of mechanical systems within prefabricated MEP modules and plantrooms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the assembly team in the installation of mechanical systems, including pipework, pumps, heat exchangers, and associated equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the assembly team to ensure the correct installation and testing of mechanical components.
  • Conduct inspections of mechanical components during and after assembly to ensure quality and project specifications are met.
  • Perform dimensional checks, verify proper alignment, and inspect the placement of mechanical components in both MEP modules and plantrooms.
  • Inspect materials and components to ensure they meet quality and project specifications.
  • Use FieldView or other inspection tools to document inspection results and log any issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist with testing and validation of mechanical systems.
  • Complete pre-commissioning checks and prepare test reports.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in MEP systems and plantroom design or modular construction.
  • Hands-on experience with the assembly and installation of mechanical systems such as piping, pumps, heat exchangers, and HVAC components in both plantrooms and MEP modules.
  • Full UK Driving License.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Relevant professional certifications in mechanical engineering (e.g., HVAC systems, piping, plantroom equipment).
  • Relevant safety certifications are an advantage.
