Job Summary

Tameside Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Cared for Children Service. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Social Workers and ensuring timely care and permanence planning for children and transition planning to adulthood for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Social Workers and ensure timely care and permanence planning for children
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the outcomes for our Cared for Children
  • Work closely with colleagues and external partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people
  • Provide professional and reflective supervision to Social Workers
  • Support staff learning and development and ensure the production of high-quality work
