Job Description

Job Title: Senior Private Client Solicitor - Head of Department

Location: Brighton, East Sussex (hybrid working)

Salary: £70,000 to £90,000 depending on level of experience

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to lead our thriving Private Client department in Brighton, East Sussex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a dynamic caseload, overseeing a team of 5 fee earners and support staff, and contributing to the growth and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of Private Client work, including Wills, Probate, and Estates
  • Oversee the work of a team of 5 fee earners and support staff
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Private Client department
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in Private Client law and best practices

Requirements:

  • Senior Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive/FCILEx with upwards of 7 years PQE
  • Proven experience in managing a team and leading a department
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
