The Role

RSK ADAS is seeking an experienced Agricultural and Environment Consultant to join our Agriculture and Land Management team on a full-time, permanent basis with a mix of hybrid home and office working. We are open to base location.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering technical and business-focussed farm management, environment, and technical consultancy services to individual farmers and corporate clients. This will include working on contracts funded by the public sector and developing and delivering a portfolio of private client work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply skills and expertise in a range of consultancy services, including farm business management, resource protection, and agri-environmental matters.
  • Advise on reduction of diffuse pollution, resource protection, and agri-environmental matters to farmers and other clients.
  • Analyse problems and provide independent, cost-effective solutions to clients, including technically correct and legally compliant advice.
  • Contribute to business development by promoting ADAS and developing contacts with new and existing clients.
  • Generate and follow up sales leads, develop networking links with regional stakeholders, and prepare tenders and client proposals.

Person Specification:

  • Relevant years of practical postgraduate experience in agriculture is required.
  • Agricultural or Environmental Degree.
  • Competent user of Microsoft software, including Windows, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner in English.
  • Full driving licence and own transport.
  • Ability to travel away from home base when required.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Up to £35,000 depending on experience.
