About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Stroke and Neurology Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication and swallowing strategies for patients with stroke and neurological diagnoses.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct assessments and interventions using evidence-based practices and technologies.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and students to ensure continuity of care and professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
  • HCPC and RCSLT registration.
  • Postgraduate experience in stroke and neurology specialism, with a focus on communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and managing a caseload independently.
  • Competence in managing dysphagia caseload and experience with FEES and VFS assessments.
