We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in assessing individuals and determining how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals to determine the impact of their disabilities or conditions on their work life.
- Use your clinical expertise to gather medical history and perform physical examinations.
- Produce accurate and concise reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to inform benefit eligibility decisions.
- Meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion, and excellent communication skills.
- Work independently, but as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, with access to support and resources as needed.
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 12 months' post-registration experience within the past five years.
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) present on your CV.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
- IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
- Self-aware and focused on professional development.
- Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality.
- Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect, and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
- Able to work on your own initiative to meet deadlines and standards.
- Ready to work as a reliable and efficient team member and willing to support the multi-disciplinary team.
