Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team at our Burton-Upon-Trent dealership. As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance and repairs, utilizing your technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve faults, and working on electrical and mechanical systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Utilize technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve faults
  • Work on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Inspect components for wear and tear
  • Repair and replace parts
  • Check vehicle subsystems
  • Liaise with customers where necessary
  • Support other technicians in the workshop
Requirements:
  • Have the knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment
  • Have the capability of working to the highest quality standards
  • Great team player and communication skills
  • Maintain high standards of house-keeping
  • Prior experience of working to efficiency targets
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience within a main automotive dealer preferable, but not essential
  • VOSA approved MOT tester also an advantage but not essential
  • Must hold a level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair NVQ or equivalent
