About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Town Planner or Senior Planner to join our team at PropSource Consulting. As a Strategic Planning Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping the future of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage projects of various sizes and scales, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Promote large-scale developments through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, Local Authorities, and consultants to drive business growth.
  • Coordinate project teams and oversee project management, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct research, site appraisals, and prepare planning applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Draft planning statements, policy representations, and assist with planning appeals, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Undertake site visits, review planning history, and analyze political and demographic data to inform planning decisions.
  • Support senior team members with research, report drafting, and project monitoring, contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
  • Liaise with clients, Local Authorities, and consultants to ensure the smooth flow of information and effective project delivery.

About You:

  • Proven experience in planning, with a focus on strategic planning and project management.
  • Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Familiarity with the Local Development Framework and Development Management System, with a strong understanding of planning regulations and policies.
  • RTPI membership or working towards it is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
