Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Solicitor to join our team at Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector. As a Regional Solicitor, you will be responsible for conducting claims and litigation in the name of the union, and representing individual members in tribunals and courts requiring specialist legal knowledge or expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Representation and Advocacy: Undertake the representation, including advocacy when appropriate, of individual members of the union in tribunals and courts, internal hearings, and other procedures when required.
  • Regulatory Body Representation: Undertake the representation, including advocacy when appropriate, of individual members of the union at regulatory bodies.
  • Legal Advice and Support: Provide advice and support to colleagues on legal issues.
  • Training and Development: Contribute to the training of staff and members of the union on legal issues.
  • Written Content Creation: Contribute to the preparation of a range of written documents and articles on legal issues affecting members.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Solicitor, or equivalent, with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in employment law.
  • Training and Development: Ability and experience to contribute to and support delivery of training programmes.
  • Employment Law Expertise: Proven experience in handling employment law cases.
