Automotive Workshop Manager

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide first-line management capability for vehicle inspection, service, and repair activity on a vast range of military equipment within Catterick main workshop.
This role involves managing a team of mechanical engineers and electrical engineers, ensuring they have the correct suitably qualified and experienced person (SQEP), tools, and processes needed to safely deliver outputs against the plan(s).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership to your team, ensuring health and safety, quality, output, and adherence to Babcock principles.
- Lead recruitment activities, manage team member performance, conduct grievance procedures, and oversee capability development in line with company policies.
Requirements
- Completed (or working towards) British Safety Council Level 2 qualification.
- Minimum of Level 2 in the National Qualification Framework (NQF) or equivalent workplace experience (e.g., Intermediate apprenticeship, Level 2 NVQ, GCSEs A*-C, O Levels A-C, CSE Grade 1).
