Spencer Clarke Group is currently in search of a Housing Review Specialist to support a Local Authority Client.

In this position, you will be responsible for executing statutory evaluations of housing decisions, collaborating with legal teams to address appeals, and formulating procedures and training initiatives to ensure adherence to housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee housing evaluations and appeals, ensuring prompt and effective processing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Legal Department to manage Section 204 appeals and judicial review cases.
  • Oversee temporary accommodation placements and associated decisions.
  • Address complex correspondence and sensitive matters, including inquiries and complaints from Members and MPs.
  • Design and implement procedures, guidelines, and training programs.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in conducting statutory housing evaluations and appeals.
  • Experience in managing temporary accommodation placements and related decisions.
  • Experience in working alongside legal teams on judicial reviews and Section 204 appeals.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: £24+ per hour

*Negotiable for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract Duration: Minimum of 3-6 months, with a strong possibility of extension

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
