Wardell Armstrong's acoustics division is an integral part of our environmental and air quality services. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to enhance our team of acousticians.

Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity within our acoustics team for professionals with at least 5 years of experience, considering roles at Senior, Principal, or Associate Director levels. This position involves overseeing your own projects, from initial proposals through to monitoring, modeling, and final report delivery. Our acoustics projects span various sectors, including residential, infrastructure, commercial, healthcare, education, minerals, waste management, and renewable energy.

In collaboration with senior team members, you will refine your skills to provide high-quality acoustic services to our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting noise assessments, managing projects, and contributing to business development efforts. You will be engaged from the early stages of project conception to its successful completion. Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in environmental and/or building acoustics, with a strong understanding of relevant guidelines, noise and vibration measurement techniques, and noise modeling software. Experience in preparing Environmental Statements and conducting wind turbine assessments is highly desirable.

A degree in a relevant field, such as Acoustic Engineering or an equivalent qualification, is required, along with MIOA status. Strong organizational, report writing, and project management skills are essential. Proficiency in IT, particularly MS Word and Excel, and the ability to handle large datasets in spreadsheets are also necessary.

A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required, as travel to various sites across the UK will be necessary.
