Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for store variable costs
  • Completing detailed variance analysis and providing supporting commentary and evidence
  • Assisting with producing monthly, half-year, and year-end Group reporting packs

  • Assisting with the production of monthly store P&L reports and highlighting variances to budget
  • Analyzing key cost areas and providing challenge to the retail/procurement teams

  • Assisting the Commercial Finance team with the production of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts for store variable costs
  • Assisting with the implementation of controls in line with the Group's Financial controls programme

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified/Finalist CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant
  • Experience of management accounting essential
  • Strong analytical skills required to identify and remediate risks
  • Ability to investigate, understand, and explain variances and overall business performance
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
  • Ability to prioritize workloads to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under your own initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Power BI/Power query advantageous
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Retail industry experience desirable
  • Experience of Oracle Financials and TM1 useful (though training will be provided)
