About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist with a proven track record in pediatric care to join our dynamic team of specialists in Rotherham.
As part of a community-based service, you will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional support to children aged 0-19 years. Our focus is on addressing a wide range of neurological, genetic, and developmental conditions within various settings, including preschools, schools (both special and mainstream), homes, clinics, and the child development center.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children aged 5-19 within our Special Schools team.
- Manage your own caseload autonomously, ensuring timely and effective delivery of occupational therapy services.
- Delegate tasks effectively to Band 4 Assistant Practitioners to support the implementation of therapy programs.
- Assess for and prescribe postural equipment as clinically necessary, including seating, toileting/bathing aids, manual handling slings, and transfer devices.
- Lead in the utilization of national outcome measures (CPUPS) for patients under your care, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
