About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Design Engineer to join our Firmware Design team in Brighton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and refining firmware for our products, creating scalable and optimized embedded software solutions.
- Develop firmware solutions that meet project requirements and translate them into effective firmware architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose solutions and identify risks
- Interface with Application Software to optimize product performance and provide pre and post-production support
- Design, test, and debug existing firmware products
- Communicate technical updates and progress to project teams
- Attend technical forums and contribute to decision-making to ensure task progress
- Communicate technical changes to the team and support other team members in their deliverables
- Assess suitability of third-party and open-source software
Requirements
- Strong collaboration, communication, and decision-making skills
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Systems and extensive experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in relevant Agile methodologies, IDEs, and programming languages (C, C++, and Python)
