About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Specialist to join our team at Absolute Recruit. As a Financial Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Workday Financials system to ensure it meets the needs of the business and enhances financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Workday Financials system is up-to-date and functioning optimally by conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements.
  • Administer tickets through the JIRA ITSM and JIRA projects platforms.
  • Configuration and Customisation: Configure and customise the Workday Financials system to align with business needs, including creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and workflows. This includes the bi-annual workday release.
  • Data Integrity and Security: Maintain data integrity and security within the Workday Financials system, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • User Support and Training: Prepare training manuals and user documentation for the Workdays Financial system. Provide support and training to end-users to maximise system utilisation and address any technical issues or questions they may have.
  • Develop and manage financial reports though various Workday reporting tools to support business needs, adhering to and supporting compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and HR, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Workday Financials.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a System Functional Analyst or similar role, with at least 2 years of experience specifically with Workday Financials.
  • Proven track record of configuring and managing Workday Financials modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement.
  • Proficiency in Workday Financials, including report writing and dashboard creation.
