About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Bank of America. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex software systems and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Bank of America's equity derivatives technology landscape, with a focus on the structured product stack.
  • Design and introduce new solutions to expand the automation scope and reach of the Structured Products system.
  • Help drive the growth of the business by becoming an SME in the structured notes platform market structure and recent industry developments.
  • Contribute to platform design and architecture.
  • Communicate with senior business and platform partners.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of the Structured Notes business.
  • Experience working on platforms to enable this business to scale globally and support business growth in terms of trade count and issuance.
  • Ability to build and coach teams by performing financial activities to inform the team's strategy, hiring practices, setting, and tracking maturity and quality goals.
  • Facilitate performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills.
  • Manage solution delivery and application performance in production, ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met.
  • Manage relationships with business and technology partners and aspire to create followership in communities of Practice in the organization.
  • Contribute to the technology strategy for their technical domain.
  • Create an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
  • Ensure that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product managers and other stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Java/Python.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
