Job Opportunity: English Teacher

Step Teachers is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at a Secondary school in the Haringey area. The school's mission is to empower students with the knowledge to make a positive difference in the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Expertise: Possess a strong knowledge of the English language and English Literature curriculum at the KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Classroom Environment: Maintain a clean, tidy, and considerate classroom environment.
  • Mentorship: Display a strong, mentoring personality toward students.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate positive relationships with students, working to inspire good behavior and a passion for learning.
  • Team Collaboration: Cooperate with and support colleagues and additional classroom staff.
  • Policies and Procedures: Comply with and implement the school's policies and participate in their support.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent.
  • Experience: Recent mainstream secondary school-based experience teaching English.
  • Education: A relevant English-related degree is desirable.
