Position Overview: LGV Class 2 Operator

Compensation: £32,868 annually plus a performance-based bonus structure.

Role Summary:

The primary responsibility is to execute designated deliveries in accordance with the established protocols of the organization for the management of the distribution fleet.

Core Duties:

  • Ensure the completion of all assigned deliveries on a daily basis.
  • Verify that the vehicle is in a safe operating condition and that the cargo is secured prior to departure.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for each delivery in compliance with company policies and instructions on the delivery note.
  • Handle all collected payments in accordance with company procedures.
  • Foster positive working relationships with clients and deliver exceptional customer service during deliveries.
  • Ensure that all payments are processed at the end of each day following company guidelines.
  • Adhere to all protocols regarding Health & Safety, vehicle security, and requirements under the Ministry of Transport Operators Licence at all times.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle to meet company audit standards.
  • Report any vehicle defects or concerns to the Operations Manager without delay.
  • Communicate any customer-related queries or issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in warehouse operations, including picking and loading goods as per contracted hours.
  • Perform any other general duties as required within the scope of this position.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Category C driving license.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your driving record, with no DR, DD, or IN convictions.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, and move freely in and out of the vehicle.
  • Must have personal transportation for commuting purposes.
