We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Radiographer to join our Radiography Department in Sandwell, West Bromwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the scanning process.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform MRI procedures to the highest standards, adhering to MHRA Guidance 2015 and IR(ME)R 2017.
- Provide exceptional patient care, supporting patients through the scanning process and ensuring their needs are met.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and take appropriate action to maintain optimal performance.
- Respect and accommodate patients' customs, values, and spiritual beliefs, ensuring their views are considered and respected.
- Perform triage functions on referrals, as required, and support patient bookings and information systems.
- Complete competency assessments and adhere to operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Share knowledge and clinical experience with the wider team to support each other's growth and development.
- BSc Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body and valid registration with the HCPC.
- Good understanding of fundamental MRI physics and different scanning techniques and sequences.
- Proven knowledge of the requirements of a radiographer's role regarding patient care, careers, and colleagues.
- High level of professionalism and technical standard of work.
- Aptitude towards improving quality.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles, and GDPR.
- Flexible approach to work, able to work across 7 days (Mon-Sun).
- Strong team player attitude, being supportive, caring, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in a busy environment.
