Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Expleo. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring that design documentation meets the required standards and is delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the engineering and technical aspects of projects from identification of need through to handover
  • Ensure design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget
  • Develop and implement processes and activities being managed, with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied
  • Comply with effective Quality Management Arrangements, operating and delivering through compliance with the Business Management System and Technical Manual
Requirements
  • Degree, degree apprentice, or demonstrable time served in an appropriate engineering discipline
  • Chartered Engineer, registered with the Engineering Council (or actively working towards)
  • Relevant knowledge and sound understanding of engineering practice required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle
  • Sound project specification, planning, project management, and budgeting experience to support design, construction/manufacture, acceptance, installation, operation, and repair
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of substantiation of process equipment for justification of Nuclear Safety Functions
  • Experience using NEC 4 ECC and PSC contracts (Options A, C & E)
  • Proficient in relevant engineering office computer applications
  • Experience with Buildings Information Management (BIM)
