Role Location: Aberdeen/London
Role Purpose:
- The Senior Advisor for Corporate Reporting is tasked with overseeing the creation of all Corporate HSES reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of incident reporting tools and databases.
- Collaborate with the reporting tools provider and the IT department on all technical matters related to the relevant tools and databases.
- Process incident and accident reports, ensuring quality control of all reported incidents; facilitate incident reporting across business units and disseminate best practices.
- Examine health and safety reports to identify trends and propose recommendations for preventive or corrective actions.
- Lead initiatives for Lessons Learned.
- Maintain a current understanding of advancements in data analysis, reporting, and predictive analytics, transforming dormant data into actionable insights for incident prevention and process enhancement.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in utilizing reporting software and applications.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, health and safety, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA) are advantageous.
- Significant experience in corporate reporting, sustainability reporting, or HSES management within the oil and gas sector or a comparable field.
- Strong knowledge of HSES regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the oil and gas industry, including familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001.
- Expertise in data analysis and reporting tools, including EHS management systems (e.g., Enablon, Intelex) and business intelligence applications.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to simplify complex technical information into clear and concise reports for varied audiences.
- Stakeholder management proficiency, capable of engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail, adept at interpreting data, recognizing trends, and deriving actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Dedication to integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a focus on fostering a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and corporate accountability.
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to navigate uncertainty and drive change within a complex regulatory and operational framework.
