Personal Injury Solicitor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor to join our team at Gabbott Recruitment Online Limited. As a Personal Injury Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing your own case load and providing high-quality legal services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage your own case load with valid file handling experience and litigation experience.
  • Liaise with referrers and manage their expectations in respect of quality and service.
  • Take initial instructions from clients and assess funding requirements.
  • Investigate limitation, liability, causation, and assess quantum.
  • Advise clients and take initial instructions from them.
  • Liaise with insurers and draft court documents where appropriate.
  • Evidence gathering and negotiation work, including court proceedings and compliance with pre-issue protocols.
  • Advocacy as and when required, including liaison with Counsel and instructions to Counsel.
  • Negotiating settlements and preparing predictive costs calculations.
  • Provide assistance to team members and comply with office procedures.
Requirements:
  • Valid file handling experience and litigation experience.
  • Ability to vet claims at initial stages and assess funding requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
