Job Title: Health and Safety Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Project People. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the communities we serve.

About the Role:

The Health and Safety Business Partner will be responsible for partnering with our leadership and operational teams to ensure compliance with our Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Standards and our Health and Safety Vision. This will involve developing, implementing, and embedding a functional Health and Safety Plan to deliver our overall Health and Safety Vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with leadership and operational teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and vision
  • Develop and implement a functional Health and Safety Plan
  • Influence, coach, and mentor teams to develop working knowledge and application of health and safety management requirements
  • Provide management information and trend analysis of health, safety, and environmental performance data
  • Develop new standards, processes, and supporting guidance and documentation
  • Identify capability and process gaps within teams and ensure development objectives are set and achieved
  • Provide advisory support on site/point issues and ongoing management of outsourced H&S services
Requirements:
  • Relevant health and safety qualification/training (e.g., NEBOSH)
  • Good understanding of site health and safety risks, management controls, and legal standards
  • Strong ability to communicate and act professionally
  • Proven record of bringing best practice into an organization and using it to drive improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver to time, quality, and cost
  • Experience in client-side construction or working within an asset infrastructure business
