About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Hydrock, now Stantec. As a key member of our Civil & Structural team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects and contributing to the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, and mentor and develop their skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve project delivery and business performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with significant experience in a design office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Section 104, 278, and 38 adoption procedures, and experience working with residential developers.
  • Excellent analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, PDS, Civils3D, and MicroDrainage, and proficiency in industry-standard software.
  • Ability to secure technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities, and knowledge of UK planning procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
