About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Teledyne FLIR LLC as a Cost Accountant, supporting the company's growth and success in the aerospace and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain the financial integrity of inventory accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  2. Process periodic financial inventory transactions and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  3. Coordinate and execute standard cost accounting processes and updates, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  4. Support and oversee physical inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  5. Collaborate with business teams to provide advice and guidance on manufacturing and project management procedures, ensuring inventory accounting requirements are met.
  6. Work closely with purchasing, planning, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels, improve forecasting, and enhance costing.
  7. Ensure the business operates within established financial controls and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across all levels and functions of Teledyne FLIR LLC, including international teams.
  9. Contribute to the wider Teledyne FLIR LLC Finance team, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive business success.

Requirements

  1. Qualified Accountant with a strong background in inventory accounting.
  2. Minimum four years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  4. Previous experience in a manufacturing and standard costing environment is an advantage.
  5. Strong Excel and analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  7. Proactive and results-driven approach, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  8. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
  9. SC Security Clearance Required.
