Job Description

Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Provide individualized support to students with learning difficulties, including ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of Special Educational Needs and the role of a Teaching Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
