Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise pupils during lunchtime hours to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Monitor pupils' engagement in play and eating habits to promote a healthy environment.
  • Organize and maintain the lunch area and playground to ensure a clean and safe space for pupils.
  • Respond to any health and safety risks and deliver first aid when necessary to prevent injuries.
  • Promote the school's policy on healthy eating to encourage pupils to make informed choices.
  • Report any incidents of misbehavior in line with the school's policy to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
  • Organize play activities for pupils to promote social skills and teamwork.
  • Ensure pupils' safety and handle any unidentified visitors approaching the school to maintain a secure environment.
  • Read and follow relevant school policies and undertake required training to stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work part-time hours (5 hours per week) during term time only.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekdays and occasional overtime.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic first aid training and willingness to learn and develop skills.
