Role Description:

This is a key role in Genesys' new program at Admiral, focusing on multiple projects related to user stories and backlogs in the Quality Engineer space. QA Engineers work in multi-disciplinary squads, optimizing Admiral's cloud presence and testing processes through an in-sprint, automated-first approach that adheres to BDD methodology. This role supports Admiral's new Engineering Vision aimed at achieving excellence in their Engineering Community by improving QA Maturity within Admiral's Testing Excellence Centre (TEC).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work in a multi-discipline integrated team, refining and prioritizing backlogs, and delivering in an Agile methodology.
  2. Define tools and frameworks for developing and maintaining test automation.
  3. Collaborate closely with the development team to define strategy and best practices.
  4. Provide clear and accurate documentation for tests and test automation.
  5. Integrate automated tests with the CI/CD pipeline.
  6. Continuously update skills by following advancements in testing and test automation.
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in building complex test automation frameworks from scratch using TypeScript/Playwright.
  2. Experience with Playwright + TypeScript and backend API testing.
  3. Proficiency with BDD/GWT Acs.
  4. Experience in refining tickets.
  5. Experience testing with SaaS systems (preferred).
  6. Test case writing and experience with Zephyr.
  7. Must have UI automation experience.
  8. Good to have API automation experience and component integration testing experience with Postman or similar tools.
  9. Experience integrating automated testing into a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or GitLab Runner.
  10. Version control operations (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  11. Strong experience in BDD with Cucumber or similar frameworks.
  12. Experience working in an agile environment and understanding the role of QA in agile ceremonies.
  13. Proficient testing experience.
