Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Anesthesiologist to join our team at HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois. As an integral member of the anesthesia department, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective patient care during surgical and other medical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical and procedural interventions.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain informed consent, and discuss anesthetic options with patients.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and physiological parameters throughout the perioperative period.
  • Respond promptly to any emergent situations and provide timely interventions as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of anesthesia protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Illinois.
  • Board certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology is preferred.
