Chair of Trustees

The Academy of Medical Royal Colleges is a membership organisation with a unique perspective on the NHS in the UK and Ireland. We are seeking a lay Chair of Trustees to contribute to our Board. The Board comprises four lay trustees and four doctors drawn from Council. Academy Lay Trustees are highly rewarding roles, and experience of the NHS is not essential. About the Role

The Chair of Trustees will be responsible for leading the Board and ensuring that the Academy's governance is effective. This will involve working closely with the Chief Executive and other senior staff to develop and implement the Academy's strategy. The Chair will also be responsible for ensuring that the Board is well-informed and that decisions are made in the best interests of the Academy.
