{"Job Title": "Childrens Home Registered Manager", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our childrens home team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring the welfare and safety of the young people in our care, and promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee weekly budgeting and ensure the financial management of the home
* Ensure the welfare of children, as defined by the Children Act 1989
* Facilitate staff meetings and supervision, and attend senior team meetings
* Arrange and participate in training, and contribute to your own professional development
* Chair statutory and in-house reviews for all young people in your care
* Provide telephone advice and support, and be prepared to attend the home in emergencies
* Ensure staff are kept up-to-date with procedural changes
* Foster open communication among staff, and promote equal opportunities
* Manage weekly rotas and staff annual leave schedules

Requirements:

* A minimum of 3 years experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a Residential Child Care setting
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience in implementing the Quality Standards for Childrens Homes in line with Ofsted standards
* Proven experience in administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and report writing
* A professional qualification at Level 4/5 in 'Working with Children and Young People' or equivalent
* A strong commitment to ongoing professional development, and a willingness to pursue further training
* Up-to-date training in Safeguarding and/or Recruitment
* The ability to apply for Registered Manager status with Ofsted, and successfully undergo an interview to assess suitability
