Medical Nurse Practitioner Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Nurse Practitioner to join our team on Parry Ward, a 28-bedded general medical ward with a focus on Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will provide support to the Medical and Nursing staff in the provision of professional, clinical, managerial, and medical support, advice, and leadership, ensuring high levels of patient care are maintained in line with professional and statutory guidelines.
The post holder will be expected to provide initial assessment to patients and, with training, work at an advanced level performing clinical procedures and tasks that have been previously undertaken by medical and/or technical staff.
The post holder will practice autonomously and also within a defined team/multidisciplinary team and in accordance with local guidelines and protocols to ensure patient safety needs are paramount.
The post holder will formulate clinical decisions and treatment plans within local guidelines/protocols to manage acute and chronic illness and respond to actual and potential health problems appropriately.
