Job Summary
The Waste Resource Operative will play a crucial role in supporting the site Facilities team in delivering waste management services that meet the ISS values and leadership principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the collection of waste, ensuring safe and efficient access routes, suitable collection equipment, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Identify and segregate materials suitable for recycling, ensuring they meet required quality standards.
- Process and dispose of waste, recyclables, and other materials in accordance with company policies and procedures, demonstrating application of the Waste Hierarchy and regulatory requirements.
- Follow safe working procedures and practices, adhering to legislative and organisational requirements.
- Identify and address issues affecting health, safety, and hygiene requirements, in line with responsibilities and company policies.
About You
- Must be able to identify and resolve issues to meet/exceed customer and client expectations.
- Hold appropriate qualifications or experience in manual handling and general health and safety at work.
- Fork lift truck driving licence is desirable.
- Be highly motivated and a good communicator.
- Have some knowledge of Health and Safety at work and risk assessments.
- Hold I.T skills.
- Be willing to develop own skills.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- The role may involve working outside in various weather conditions and requires an element of physical work, with some roles requiring daily walking.
