Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing finance team in EMEA. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and expense claims, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices and expense claims promptly and accurately, adhering to established company policies and procedures.
- Respond to queries from vendors and internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
- Generate Oracle payment files and monitor bank statements for any discrepancies or rejections.
- Assist with the management of multi-currency payment files across various entities within BGC Group.
- Conduct analytical reviews of payments, including trend analysis, to identify potential anomalies or areas for improvement.
- Provide support to the Accounts Payable Manager with ad-hoc requests and projects as needed.
- Collaborate with auditors by providing timely access to relevant files and responding promptly to inquiries.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable within a multi-currency environment, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in using integrated accounting systems, particularly Oracle Accounts Payable & iExpenses modules.
- Experience with invoice scanning and approval workflow tools, such as Coupa.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
