Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Assistant to join our team in Ely and the surrounding villages. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our customers, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized care and support to customers, tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
- Promote and support independence and dignity, enabling customers to maintain their autonomy and quality of life.
- Assist with personal care needs, including showering, bathing, dressing, toileting, and continence care.
- Provide comfort and companionship to customers, engaging in activities and conversations that promote their mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with household tasks and meal preparation, ensuring customers' living environments are safe and comfortable.
- Support customers to access the community, attending appointments, social visits, and days out.
- Assist with medication management, ensuring customers receive their prescribed medication in a timely and safe manner.
- Caring, flexible, and adaptable, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle, with the ability to drive safely and efficiently.
- Right to work in the UK, with a valid passport, birth certificate, or other acceptable documentation.
- Satisfactory references, demonstrating a history of reliable and compassionate care.
- Minimum availability to progress is alternate weekends, both Saturday and Sunday.
- Fantastic pay rates, with a competitive hourly rate of £15.00.
- Paid mileage, with a rate of £0.30 per mile.
- Guaranteed hours contracts, ensuring a stable and predictable income.
- Flexible working patterns, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.
- Early pay app, providing access to up to 50% of your pay each week in advance of payday.
- Local routes, minimizing travel time and maximizing time spent with customers.
