Job Opportunity: Rutherford Briant is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Treasury Assistant.

About the Role: As a Treasury Assistant, you will be responsible for managing cash flows, performing bank reconciliations, and preparing payments via online banking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Management: Post cash across various entities in multiple currencies, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and coordinate payments via online banking systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Fortnightly Payment Runs: Conduct fortnightly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
  • Month-End Activities: Participate in month-end activities, including review and clearance of control accounts and monthly analysis reporting for FX hedging.
  • Mailbox Management: Manage the company mailbox, responding to queries and resolving ad-hoc issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Online Banking Systems Administration: Administer online banking systems, ensuring secure and efficient access to financial information.
  • Audit Support: Assist with audit queries, providing accurate and timely information to support the audit process.

Requirements:

  • AAT Qualification: Actively studying towards AAT qualification, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Accounting Experience: Prior experience within an accounting environment, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Multi-Currency Experience: Experience working with multiple currencies, with a strong understanding of exchange rates and currency fluctuations.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills: Proficient in using Excel, with the ability to analyze and present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
