The post holder will provide expert clinical support to the Senior Nurse Manager in the safe and effective delivery of anaesthetic and recovery practice for patients in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.
Main Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments of patient nursing needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care delivery according to changing healthcare needs and varying levels of complexity.
- Collect, collate, evaluate, and report information, maintaining accurate patient records.
- Provide sedation to EP/Pacing patients, with training provided.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure patient needs are met, providing skilled assistance to the operator and anaesthetist during cardiovascular interventional procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and carers/relatives.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations, participating in out-of-hours emergency procedures.
- Collect, collate, and report information, maintaining accurate records in line with NMC, HPC, and Trust policy.
- Respect confidential information obtained in the course of professional practice and uphold the principles of Caldicott and the Data Protection Act.

Person Specification- Essential:
- ODP/Anaesthetic module
- Anaesthetics and recovery qualification
- Post-Registration qualification or evidence of further study related to peri-operative practice
- Teaching and mentorship experience

- Experience of responding to and assisting with emergency procedures unsupervised
