Job Summary

The Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to fill a rotational position in our rehabilitation services. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to gain experience working in a variety of medical clinical settings, including brain injury inpatients, brain injury outpatients, stroke rehabilitation, and sub-acute general medicine short stay rehab.

Main Duties

As an Occupational Therapist in this rotational position, you will be responsible for providing client-centered practice with a holistic approach, focusing on general and specialist OT intervention. You will work closely with a friendly and supportive team to deliver high-quality care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients in a variety of clinical settings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Relevant experience of the occupational therapy process during fieldwork education and work
  • Documenting evidence of continuing professional development
  • Basic knowledge of health legislation and current practice
  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance
