We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Community Learning and Development Assistant. This is a learning role for young leaders who are interested in assisting with the delivery of community-based youth work activities.

About the Role

As part of our Youth Services team, you will work alongside our core team to deliver a range of youth work activities and support young people to participate, gain confidence, and gain positive learning experiences that promote health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of community-based youth work activities
  • Support young people to participate, gain confidence, and gain positive learning experiences
  • Work with groups and communities in neighbourhoods across Renfrewshire
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations
  • Contribute to the development of new youth work initiatives and programs

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience in working with people
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive and flexible approach to work
  • Open to learning new skills

Desirable:

  • Qualifications attained through Wider Achievement Awards; Saltire, Duke of Edinburgh, etc.
  • Experience of working with young people
  • IT Skills
  • Experience of responsibility through volunteering
