Role Summary
Are you a qualified social worker dedicated to nurturing the future of social work professionals? Wiltshire Council presents a remarkable opportunity for you as a Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Co-ordinator.
This role is pivotal in shaping the landscape of social work within our community while also providing a pathway for your professional growth. You will collaborate closely with the Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Lead to oversee and enhance our expanding Social Work Apprenticeship initiative within Adult Social Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding processes for apprentices.
- Ensure apprentices receive high-quality education and comprehensive support throughout their training journey.
- Manage the placement process, making informed decisions to align apprentices with suitable opportunities.
- Address any challenges that may arise during the apprenticeship period.
- Collaborate with higher education institutions to uphold educational excellence.
- Represent Wiltshire Council in relevant meetings and discussions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a registered social worker with Social Work England, possessing significant post-qualification experience. Experience as a Practice Educator or ASYE Assessor is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a solid grasp of social care policy are essential for success in this role.
