Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our client's team in Newton Abbot. As a key member of the tax team, you will be responsible for delivering a quality compliance service across corporate and personal tax delivery. Your focus will be on delivering tax advice to clients, with a mixed role across personal and corporate tax. You will work on tax planning and advisory work, including capital tax planning, IHT, trusts, wills, property-related tax advice, and tax implications and planning for succession.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the tax team and delivery of a quality compliance service
  • Deliver tax advice to clients, with a focus on corporate tax planning
  • Work on tax planning and advisory work, including capital tax planning and IHT
  • Develop and grow the firm's tax department, managing and leading the team

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified
  • Experience in tax compliance and advisory/planning tax, gained within an accounting firm or tax boutique firm
  • Mixed tax technical skills across personal and corporate tax advice, or a corporate tax focus
  • Developed career to at least Manager levels, with a clear path to progress

About You

You will be a qualified tax professional with a strong background in tax compliance and advisory/planning tax. You will have developed your career to at least Manager levels and be looking for the right career move where you can lead and develop a growing tax team and department. You will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
